Geometrics

Thank you for taking the time to browse the geometric work we have done. If you see anything you like or maybe just want to discuss a suggestion for a project then feel free to email us.

The earliest recorded beginnings of geometry can be traced to cavemen, <wiki who discovered obtuse triangles in the ancient Indus Valley, and ancient Babylonia from around 3000 BC. Its not surprising then that we as a culture are accustomed to seeing geometry in everyday things and for some it instills an immediate acceptance as something familiar and known.

We decided to do geometric patterns based on this idea as we felt that with geometry, shapes are known and need no interpretation by the viewer. A square is a square, but a cat is a cat and there are many types of cats so the viewers perception of the cat begins to work in overdrive as their experience of a cat is compared to that in the picture. <wiki
