It all began in 2001, my wife had taken lessons in making stained glass and my interest grew from there.
She taught me the same way, I was full of enthusiasm in wanting to create something special. After many weeks of
perfecting my skills on all aspects of stained glass and reading lots of books I embarked on my first 'real' project.
I made this large window for my wife, this turned out great and my wife was elated
at what I had accomplished. I continued to make many things giving them to friends as presents and the like.
Many of my friends and family tried to persuade me to start my own business but I was
reluctant to do so because I was happy with what I was doing.
In August 2009 after being made redundant from my job I decided it was time to give the stained glass a try.
My son had come over from England for a visit, he also liked the idea of starting a small business and said he
would like to stay and help us. So began another chapter teaching him the basics of stained glass workings, to my
delight he became very proficient at it and started designing and creating panels by himself.
My son was a former Applications Developer so has taken responsibility for creating our web site. As for myself, my trade was in interior
decorating which I did for many years, I guess that's where my free thinking in designs comes from.
Our company 'Stained in Glass' is run by me and my son Peter. Hopefully in time we shall thrive, as
anyone knows who makes stained glass it is labor intensive. Our aim is to produce something unique for
our customers and we will endeavor to help any customer who wants their own design in glass. I'm looking forward
to your emails.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
